BORY Inventory Manager is a private inventory tool operated by Ajay Tom George (GitHub username ajaytomgeorge) for managing the operator’s own eBay seller inventory and offers. It is not a public service for other sellers and is not operated by eBay.
Information used
The tool sends product information to eBay, including titles, descriptions, photos or photo URLs, quantities, prices, conditions and item specifics. It reads inventory locations and seller business policies to check dispatch, payment, returns and shipping settings. Location information may include the seller’s dispatch address.
Seller authorization uses eBay OAuth. Access tokens, and refresh credentials when configured, are used locally to authenticate API calls. The tool does not require the seller’s eBay password. Its current listing workflow does not request buyer order, payment-card or buyer address information.
Purpose and sharing
Information is used to prepare and manage the operator’s inventory and offers, verify settings, and prevent duplicate creation. Product and account requests are sent to eBay’s APIs. The tool does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Creating an unpublished offer sends its information to eBay. If the operator separately publishes a listing, eBay displays the listing information according to its marketplace settings and policies.
Local storage and retention
Product configuration, product photos and offer-creation results can be retained as local files. Results include product SKUs and eBay offer IDs. Account inspection output may contain seller location and business policy details and should be kept private. The script does not write credentials into its result files; credentials are supplied through the local process environment.
The operator controls retention of these local files and any saved terminal output, removing information when no longer needed for inventory management or applicable recordkeeping. Data sent to eBay is also subject to eBay’s own retention practices. Removing a local file does not delete an eBay inventory item or offer.
Revoking access and removing information
The operator can revoke the application’s authorization in the eBay account’s third-party application access settings. Local credentials, files and saved output can be removed from the operator’s device. Revoking authorization does not automatically remove existing eBay inventory, offers or listings; those must be managed separately through supported eBay tools or APIs.
